Grilled Cilantro Shrimp

Simple and fast, these delicious grilled shrimp skewers have an Asian flare and make the perfect appetizer for a cocktail party or get together with friends.

Prep Time: 1 hours

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 16 medium shrimp
  • 16 skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • Juice of 1 lime, plus additional for serving
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) Asian fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (2 g) chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)
  • 1 teaspoon (2 g) grated fresh ginger

Preparation:

Wash the shrimp, shell, and devein, leaving the tails intact. Thread one shrimp lengthwise on each skewer. Put on a plate and sprinkle with lime juice, fish sauce, coriander, and ginger. Let the shrimp marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour and then grill for 30 seconds on each side. Squeeze a little lime juice over them and serve warm.
