Ginger Syrup

Ginger syrup is a ginger-flavored sugar syrup used in desserts and cocktails.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup ginger root, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick, 3-inches

Preparation:

Place all the ingredients into a medium pot. Bring to a boil then remove from heat. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves.

Cover and let steep for 1 hour. Strain into another container. Refrigerate until needed.
