This beautiful crisp salad was served at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards Governor's Ball and was created by celebrity chef, Joachim Splichal of the Patina Restaurant Group. Lots of ingredients can be found in this flavorful salad, but it's quite simple to make. Feel free to substitute some of the more exotic ingredients with whatever close relatives you can find.

In another departure from tradition, dry-roasted almonds are used in place of the pine nuts."
