Being a Mets fan can be an agonizing prospect, but the gorgeous Mets Citi Field ballpark is quite a consolation. Not only are the views of the field amazing, but there's lots of food, and it's legitimately great.
Take Shake Shack: Celebrated restaurateur Danny Meyer's uber-popular Madison Square Park burger kiosk has a Citi Field outpost. Sure, it's got a truncated menu, but it does swift business in hormone-free Black Angus burgers, Griddled Vienna all-beef hot dogs, Yukon Gold fries, and off-the-wall delicious frozen custard served in a double-dip cup or hand-spun into too-thick-for-the-straw shakes.
Meyer's barbecue joint, Blue Smoke, is right next to Shake Shack.
