White House Menu for the Dinner with the Prime Minister of Denmark

February 29, 2008

By Brett Moore, About.com

This menu was created by White House Executive Chef Cristeta Comerford for the Prime Minister of Denmark, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and Mrs. Rasmussen. Notice its distinctive American dishes characteristic of President Bush's state dinners.

The Menu

Mixed Organic Greens and Citrus Salad with Shaved Parmesan

Pecan Wood-Smoked Beef Tenderloin with Wild Mushrooms

Green Chili Cheese Grits Soufflé

Roasted Asparagus

Pecan Pie with Blue Bell Ice Cream

The pecans for the pie and wood used to smoke the tenderloin were harvested from pecan trees at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Texas (President Bush's Western White House).
